Jim Neumann, CEO and Chairman of North American billboards and outdoor media enterprise Optic Outdoor Signs, is a busy man. With his enterprises, he manages many operations across the United States. His employees are loyal because he is a good boss and chairman and inspires fidelity. Communities are drawn to his knowledge and how he spreads information, as well as his services in the entertainment industry. Jim Neumann’s billboards reach millions of people a month. His career began when he was nineteen and started as a 3M sign installer. His drive and desire to learn led him to leadership spots at City Outdoor in New York City. He has been given recognition by places like Advertising Age as one of the “50 Pioneers and Visionaries of Advertising,” as well as one of the “Five Original Thinkers of the 90s,” by Chicago magazine. Aside from being a visionary and a businessman, Jim Neumann is a philanthropist. He is one of the board members of the United Way of St. Louis and the Boy Scouts of America. He has been recognized as a Spirit of Life honoree by the cancer research center and hospital, City of Hope.
